Ossington Community Association Local Goods and Services Auction

Have a mouth-watering Malaysian fusion meal at the wonderful Soos restaurant, which has received several rave reviews since opening at 94 Ossington last year.

"The family’s Chinese-influenced Nyonya cooking is the jumping-off point for delicious meals of sharp, clean flavours punctuated by chilies and smoothed by coconut milk. Malaysian food touches on Thai, Filipino and Indian ingredients, a melting pot of flavours. [...] At dinner, there are more chances to encounter the fusion of cuisines Malaysia has naturally brewed for centuries. Short ribs ($23) are braised in lemongrass-accented rendang curry — a Malay dish — until perfectly tender, then paired with ghee-brushed roti — introduced by Indian settlers — and coconut rice so pure it should come in a brown shell. [...]  it’s time Toronto woke up to Malaysian food, and Soos is the place to do it."
